Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Gosh my grandma gave me a £50 note!!!!!! i never had one of those b4 o.O yay so £50 towards a ps3 and tv! And why? my ps2 is really on its last legs, it was second hand when we got it, and it spent a coulpe of year in my bro's room, nuff sed, and its never had a proper clean. My dad and i are gonna take it apart this afternoon *fingers Crossed* and clean it. My TV is about 20 years old, and wont let half the dvds i have play on the ps2 properly.
Im also gonna get KH1 and FF10 at some point, KH1 i've never played, but i read the 1st manga, and im playing KH2 and im like, hmm, do i need to know what has happened? so im gonna get that cheap...amazon prolly...then all my paycheck towards ps3!

I really want to know how much its gonna cost tho:/...

PS3's, here in the states, were either US$500 or US$600

Really expensive... hopefully there will be a price drop soon...

Oh my gosh i know, im settling for a ps2 slim now, cause its only £90 and a cheapy £60 TV hopefully ehehehe

The only reason i want a ps3 is cause of FFXIII but i always play those games reallllly slowly so i wont have finished 12 by the time its christmas this year lol (thats even if i have 12 lol) Cause i only just got FFX and X-2 and i've only just got the hang of the sphere grid :3 (havent even tried X-2 yet o.o)
The walkthrough i ordered off amazon is taking its time too...darn marketplace noobs. XD

I'm so glad at least 1 person reads my journals XD i spend ages on them trying to make them sort of interesting! Hahaha XD

Ooh! Is XIII supposed to be out for Christmas? Mph. Now I need to start saving monies - I really want to play that. I haven't even gotten 12... or X-2, but I dunno, it didn't interest me that much. I liked FFX a lot though!

Hehe, I'm always way behind on games like that, though, so... maybe I won't need a PS3 for FF13... I'll be able to wait a bit longer, and hopefully they'll drop in price!

When I get the time, I love reading people's journals - it's always fun to know whats going on with other people, I get so sucked into whats happening in the basement of the Theatre Building that I forget that there is a world out there
